Specialist equipment may be provided from the existing pool of equipment, or if it is not available in the pool, purchased through the Inclusion Support Subsidy.

The equipment must have the purpose of facilitating a child’s inclusion into a child care service and may:

  • provide access to the environment (portable ramps);
  • position a child to allow participation (seating, adjustable tables, standing frames, positioning equipment);
  • provide play experiences (switch toys, adapted bikes, swings); or
  • allow carers to safely lift, toilet and change a child.
